Description

Wooh! :faint: Finally done. And I lurve it! :3 This piece was tons of fun. I've never done a pixel piece this big with a full background and all that. :3 So it was definitively awesome to do this. Original idea [Spelunking Emote] by ~Capoodra, here. I came up with the idea of what I wanted to do, and just had to start working right away. :D

Info:
Time: around 8-9 hours?
Layers: 29
Colors: Around 30-40?

Original Ideas for Dummy and o_O Emote (c) them, as well as original idea for :O, scared, and la emotes. :3

So...what's in this piece? Basically:
-A emote mix of :la: and :O, with a bit of :fear: :3; totally scared out of her mind
-A dummy emote; he is like 'Ooh look what we found!'
-A :O_o: emote; a bit surprised at what she is looking at, holding a flashlight :3
-And a little emote similar to :invisible: or  or :|, suppose to be a golden statue looking kinda like -_-
-What does 'spelunking' mean? Basically cave exploring ;)

First of all I have to say that it is a great idea!
(In the Artist's description you mentioned that it has around 30-40 colours but it actually has 350 colours :noes: You probably used a gradient shading for the bases, or?)
Anyway here is the Critique: (I hope it's not too harsh :iconumplz:)
The Emotes are too bright for the scene, it seems that they are glowing and wouldn't need the flashlight. And the background seems to be too dark. It's hard too see any details on it.
For me the background doesn't seem to look like a cave for me, it's a bit too flat. it should look like parts of the walls fall down and they broke apart.
Then I think the flashlight should point at the statue instead of the pilar.
I would suggest to look at all kind of cave/dungeon images to get inspiration how you could do it (for the scene details and colour schemes), for example [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]

Here is a concept of I would have done it: maybe this helps  - [link]
